Man United battle Leicester City in FA Cup quarter-finals

Reds look to stretch unbeaten run to 14 versus the Foxes

Manchester United’s road to Wembley only gets tougher as they drew Leicester City in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side made it to the last eight for a seventh consecutive season thanks to an extra-time goal from Scott McTominay to beat West Ham 1-0.

The Foxes squeaked past Brighton yesterday 1-0 with a 94th-minute goal from Kelechi Iheanacho.

These sides have faced each other once this season. An own-goal from Axel Tuanzebe earned Brendan Rodgers’ team a 2-2 draw from King Power Stadium.

It’ll be the third time these teams play each other in this competition. The last match was back on Valentines Day 1976. Lou Macari and Gerry Daly scored that day to give the Reds a 2-1 victory.

It’s not known the official date and time of this encounter yet, but it will happen the weekend of March 20 from King Power Stadium.

At the moment United is two points above the Foxes in the Premier League standings in second place. (JSL).
