Infection Rate In Greater Manchester Is Decreasing Faster – Latest Figures For Every Borough

According to the latest figures, the infection rate of Greater Manchester is decreasing faster regionally comparing England as a whole. The latest data showed that 1769 fewer cases have been reported in Greater Manchester the previous week.

The infection rate in every borough of Greater Manchester is still higher than the national average. The infection rate of England is now 69.9  with a 35% decrease. But the figures are falling in Greater Manchester faster than the national trend.

Here are the updated figures for the infection rates of every borough in Greater Manchester( 6 March 2021) :

Rochdale

Rochdale has the highest infection rate in the region. Also, there is a slower change in the figures comparing the average of Greater Manchester. With a 19 % decrease, the infection rate in Rochdale is now 135.8.

Bolton

The infection rate in Bolton is still higher than the rest of Greater Manchester and the national average. There is a 40% decrease comparing the previous week. The new infection rate for Bolton is 122.8.

Wigan

Even an increase has been reported for the last 24 hours in Wigan, the infection rates are falling fast. With a 26% decrease, the infection rate of Wigan is 115.3

Bury

In Bury, a huge decrease has been reported. Comparing previous week, there is a 45% decrease in the figures. The infection rate of Bury is 113.1.

Salford

The infection rate of Salford is now 107.8. Even the figures are still higher than the national average, there is a 33% decrease comparing the previous week.

Tameside

There is a 43% decrease in the figures of Tameside that the infection rate for the borough decreased fast. The infection rate in Tameside is 104.2.

Manchester

The infection rate in Manchester is decreasing fast. Comparing the previous week, a 38% decrease has been reported in the infection rate. The latest data showed that the infection rate of Manchester is 98.0.

Stockport

The decrease in the infection rate of Stockport is the fastest in the region. There is a huge difference comparing the data from the previous week. A 47 % decrease has been reported. The infection rate of Stockport is now 96.4.

Oldham

Oldham has one of the lowest infection rates in the region. There is a 34% decrease in the figures. According to the latest data, the infection rate of Oldham is 95.3.

Trafford

Trafford has the lowest infection rate in the region. With a 43% decrease, the infection rate of Trafford is now really close to the national average of England. The latest data showed that the infection rate of Trafford is 72.9.
