Former Man City midfielder currently self-isolating
Former Man City midfielder David Silva has tested positive for COVID.
His new team Real Sociedad confirmed the news earlier today.
The 34-year-old spent 10 seasons with the Blues and is currently self-isolating as a precaution.
In a tweet Real Sociedad said Silva is asymptomatic but not displaying any symptoms of the condition.
The Spanish attacking midfielder recently signed a two-year deal with Sociedad.
He won four Premier League titles, five League Cups and two FA Cups in 436 appearances for Man City.
He’ll have a statue in his honour outside Etihad Stadium next summer.
A training pitch at Man City’s Football Academy will be named after the Spanish great. (JSL)
