Coronavirus Cases Fall In Every Borough: Latest Figures Across Greater Manchester

Coronavirus infection rates continue to fall in every borough of Greater Manchester. The latest data showed that it is the first time that everywhere across the region see a drop in cases.

Here are the latest infection rates across Greater Manchester :

Oldham

Even the infection rates are decreasing in Oldham, the borough still has the highest infection rate in Greater Manchester. There were 1487 positive coronavirus cases in the borough last week. With a 16 % decrease in the figures, the latest infection rate in Oldham is 627.1 cases per 100,000 population.

Wigan

The infection rate in Wigan has decreased by 18 % compared to the previous week. There were 1993 positive tests last week in the borough. The infection rate in Wigan is now 606.4 cases per 100,000 people.

Salford

According to the latest figures, the infection rate in Salford is 597.7 cases per 100,000 population. A total of 1547 people have tested positive for coronavirus over the last week. The infection rate has decreased by 6 %. 

Tameside

A total of 1287 coronavirus cases have recorded in Tameside last week. With a 7 % decrease in the number of cases, the latest infection rate in the borough is 568.2 cases per 100,000 people.

Rochdale

Like all other boroughs in Greatest Manchester, the trend is down in Rochdale. Compared to the previous week, the infection rate has decreased by 20%. The infection rate in Rochdale is now 555.7 cases per 100,000 population.

Stockport

A total of 1502 cases have recorded in Stockport last week. With a fall of 8% in the figures, the most recent coronavirus infection rate in Stockport is 511.9 cases per 100,000 people.

Manchester

With a fall of 13% in the number of positive coronavirus cases, the latest infection rate in Manchester is 477.2 cases per 100,000 people. A total of 2638 positive cases have been recorded in the borough over the last week.

Bury

The latest data showed that the number of cases is down by 16% over the last week in Bury. The infection rate in Bury is now 463.9 cases per 100,000 people. There were 886 positive coronavirus cases in Bury last week.

Trafford

The coronavirus infection rate continues to fall in Trafford. The latest infection rate in Trafford is 455.4 cases per 100,000 people. A total of 1081 positive cases have recorded in the borough last week. With a fall of 15%, Trafford has one of the lowest infection rates in Greater Manchester.

Bolton

Bolton now has the lowest infection rate in Greater Manchester.1237 positive cases have been recorded in Bolton over the last week. The infection rate is now 430.2 cases per 100,000 people. The coronavirus infection rate in Bolton has decreased by 2%.
