Bolton Food and Drink Festival Clinches Yet Another Coveted Accolade

The Great British Market Awards 2024 have bestowed the title of “Best Market Attraction” upon the Bolton Food and Drink Festival. This year’s festival saw a record-breaking number of visitors, with 500,000 people flocking to Bolton over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The event featured 180 artisan stalls, celebrity chef demonstrations, free family entertainment, live music, and much more, making it the biggest and best festival yet.

Organized by the National Association of British Market Authorities (NABMA), the Great British Market Awards recognize excellence in the market industry. This recent accolade adds to the festival’s growing list of achievements, as it was also named the “Most Loved Live Event” at the 2023 I Love Manchester awards and the “Leading Live Event” at the This is Manchester Awards 2022.

Cllr Nadeem Ayub, Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member for Culture, commended the festival’s success, attributing it to the exceptional support provided by Bolton Market and its team. The festival’s popularity among traders is evident, as many return year after year. Looking ahead, Cllr Ayub expressed excitement for this year’s event, anticipating an even better experience.
