United in tough with Champions League draw
Reds draw PSG, RB Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir
Manchester United will be in tough at the Champions League after the teams’ opponents were announced Thursday.
The Reds are making their return to Europe’s biggest club competition after a year off.
In pot one United drew Paris Saint-Germain, the French champions who were runners-up for the European crown this past season.
Things didn’t get any easier for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when they drew RB Leipzig, the up and coming Bundesliga team who were Champions League semi-finalists last season.
The final opponents for the Red Devils will be Istanbul Basaksehir from Turkey.
United was able to qualify for the Champions League thanks to an incredible post-lockdown run last season where they went 14 straight matches without a loss to finish third.
Matchday one will be on October 21.
