£250k Worth Of Drugs In Pizza Boxes: A Man Has Been Sentenced To Eight Years

After police discovered over £250k worth of drugs and cutting agents in pizza boxes, a man from Tameside has been jailed for over eight years. A total of nine pizza boxes containing nine kilos of cutting agent to mix with cocaine was discovered along with 2.4 kilos of cocaine and half a kilo of ketamine.

Simon Tennant was jailed for eight and a half years at Minshull Street Crown Court after he was found guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession with intent to supply ketamine and possession of the criminal property.

Detective Constable Jake Orr, of GMP’s Tameside Challenger Team, said: “This is all part of our ongoing commitment to tackling drugs and the distribution of them across Greater Manchester and clearly this find was a substantial one.”

“Tennant was clearly making a profit from the desperation of those who become reliant on class A drugs and, we will continue to do all we can to remove offenders such as Tennant from our towns and cities.”

Anyone who has information or has any concerns about drugs should report to the police immediately. Alternatively, the reports can be shared by Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
