Huge Cannabis Farm With 4000 Plants In Manchester City Centre

Police uncovered a huge cannabis farm and seized drugs that worth five million pounds in Manchester city centre. After the operation of GMP, more than 4000 plants over four floors have been seized.

Officers were called to a warehouse that is on Heyroad Street, Manchester on 12 April with the report of suspected drugs being found. When the officers entered the house, an estimated 4000 plants over four floors were found.

Detective Inspector Geoffrey Machent, from GMP’s Central District CID, said: “This is a substantial discovery which has been discovered by officers thanks to a member of the public. As a result of this find, we’re removed a significant amount of suspected cannabis that may have ended up on the streets of Greater Manchester and is another step forward in helping to disrupt the production and distribution of drugs within our community.”
