Pogba to miss “a few weeks”

Midfielder out with a thigh muscle injury

Manchester United will be without the services of Paul Pogba for a while.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed Monday that the French midfielder has a thigh muscle injury that will force him to the sidelines.

“It’s an injury that will take a few weeks to heal,” Solskjaer told the club’s website.

“Paul has been very important for us, and we’re not going to take any risks. [So it is] a few weeks definitely.”

The 27-year-old was the club’s Player of the Month for January scoring two game-winning goals.

He’ll miss tomorrow’s fifth-round FA Cup tie with West Ham and likely both legs of the Europa League tie with Real Sociedad later this month.

Pogba played just 39 minutes before being replaced by Fred in his side’s 3-3 draw with Everton on Saturday. (JSL).
