Guardiola ranks as second-best club coach of the decade
Diego Simeone named top club manager of the past 10 years
Pep Guardiola’s remarkable achievements as a manager have not gone unnoticed.
The Manchester City manager is the second-best manager of the last decade (2011-2020) according to a recent poll.
The award is voted on by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics.
It was taken into consideration the TOP 20 of each yearly ranking of each category concerned and allocated points to each place
First place received 20 points, second place 19, the third 18 points and so on.
Athletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone narrowly beat out Guardiola for the award.
City’s boss has won this annual award twice before in 2009 and 2011.
Since becoming a manager the Spaniard has an impressive winning percentage of 72.5 all-time.
In stints at Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and now Manchester City he’s got a variety of accolades both individually and for his teams.
In his last 10 years, Guardiola has over a dozen trophies from his time in Spain, Germany, and England.
From 2011 to the present Guardiola’s won a Champions League title, three Bundesliga championships, and two Premier League titles.
