Pep Guardiola is bringing in a young fresh face to the side this summer.

Manchester City has agreed to sign Kwadwo Baah from Rochdale at the end of the season.

Baah has been very impressive for Brian Murphy’s League One side with three goals and has attracted interest from top-flight clubs like Glasgow Rangers among others.

The youngster turned down a chance to be a part of Man City’s academy when he was 16 instead choosing to play for Crystal Palace.

He will sign a pre-contract agreement with the Sky Blues.

That means he’ll finish out the season at the Dale before moving about 12 miles down the road to the Etihad.

The German-born player may be best known for an incident as a ball boy in 2016.

The then 13-year-old tried to stop West Ham keeper Adrian from time-wasting by placing the ball in the six-yard box.

Baah believes he’s ready to take this next step in his football career.

“I’ve matured a lot, and I don’t do the stuff that I used to when I was young. I’m around the senior players, and you have to be professional. It’s had a massive impact on me growing up. One day I could end up in the Premier League, you never know,” says Baah.
