Manchester University debuts STEM podcast featuring Big Sisters, showcasing women and marginalized voices

The University of Manchester has released a brand-new podcast, aiming to amplify the voices of those often overlooked in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) sector. The podcast, entitled Big Sisters in STEM, seeks to provide a supportive and inclusive space for women and non-binary individuals in STEM to share their experiences and challenges in a traditionally male-dominated field. Hosted by Jasmine Luby Barrow, the podcast will feature a range of guests, including academics, industry professionals, and students, discussing topics such as imposter syndrome, balancing career and family, and the importance of diversity in STEM. The first episode, featuring Dr Ciara McGrath, will air on Wednesday, 27 March 2024. Stay tuned for more inspiring conversations on all podcast platforms.
