Local artists will be taking over venues across the borough for a two-day Festival of Art on 6 and 7 July.

And it’s not just about artists showcasing their work – it’s about residents across Bury getting involved.

A packed schedule of free workshops led by practising artists means you can try your hand at painting, pottery, textiles and more – no experience required!

With more than 20 participating studios and venues, 50 local artists and 10 workshops, there really is something for everyone.

Councillor Charlotte Morris, cabinet member for culture, the economy and skills, said: “When it comes to culture and creativity, we have lots to shout about in Bury, and is something we are investing considerably in, as an intrinsic part of our town centre regeneration proposals.

“This will be fabulous two-day festival, celebrating the many groups and individuals who work in culture and heritage, and giving residents across the borough the chance to get involved and nurture their own unique artistic talents.”
