Drug Dealer Jailed After Targeting Teen in Harassment and Drugs Case

A drug dealer has been jailed after harassing a teenager and repeatedly making threats over alleged drug-related “debts”, in a case that also exposed his involvement in cannabis supply.

Brandon Simcox, born 27 July 2004 and of no fixed abode, was sentenced to 27 months in prison after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis, possession with intent to supply cannabis, harassment, and communications offences.

The court heard that Simcox exploited a 16-year-old boy, pressuring him to deal drugs on his behalf while simultaneously demanding money over claimed debts. The teenager was subjected to repeated messages containing threats of violence towards him and his family, leaving him frightened for his safety. A relative of the boy was also targeted as part of the harassment campaign.

The investigation was launched after safeguarding concerns were raised in August 2024. Officers subsequently arrested Simcox and carried out a search at a property linked to him.

During the search, officers recovered multiple bags of cannabis, digital weighing scales, and a quantity of cash. Three mobile phones were also seized, which showed evidence of use as drug supply lines. Financial enquiries revealed repeated payments from individuals believed to be customers of Class B drugs.

Simcox refused to answer questions during police interviews, responding “no comment”, but later entered guilty pleas to all charges.

Police described the case as an example of the exploitation of vulnerable young people within drug networks, highlighting the safeguarding concerns at the centre of the investigation.
