Fake Police Officer Scam
GMP are aware of multiple victims being contacted by fraudsters purporting to be Police Officers.
GMP would like to assure the public that police are currently investigating these despicable crimes. One arrest has so far been made and investigations are currently ongoing. The victims of these crimes are being supported by our specialist Cyber and Economic Awareness Service. The Police will never ask you for money.
