Armed Robbery In Dukinfield: Police Appeal For Information
Officers were called to a store that is on King Street, Dukinfield last night with a report of an armed robbery. Initial enquires established that two males armed with a knife entered the store before threatening two staff members.
Officers got the report of the armed robbery at around 7.55 pm the last night. According to initial enquiries, two males entered the store with a knife and threatened staff members. The males stole a quantity of cash and tobacco from the store. Then they left the scene with a black BMW 1 series, towards the direction of Hyde.
The staff members weren’t injured in the incident. The males are described as white, and both around 5ft 10ins tall.No arrests have been made. Detectives are pursuing several lines of enquiry.
Detective Sergeant Christopher Dean of Tameside District CID said: “This was a cowardly attack on a shop on the main road and we know that there will have been many people passing around this time. We would ask that if you saw anything suspicious or have any Dash Cam footage that may have captured the offenders as they escaped, that you get in touch with us”.
