After the tragic death of a mother in Oldham a week ago, the family of the mother has paid tribute to her. Susan Booth, aged 62, was reported to have suffered serious injuries on the evening of Tuesday 4 May on Hillside Avenue in the Shaw. Stephen Booth (09/05/1957) of Churchfields, Audenshaw, was arrested and charged with Susan’s murder.
In tribute to Susan, her family said: “We, as a family, are devastated to confirm the passing of our beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, Susan Booth on Tuesday 4 May 2021. Mum was the epitome of caring, both in her professional and personal life.”
“If you knew her, you would have known that nothing was too much trouble, and she would help anyone who needed it. We thank everyone for their sympathy and ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
Susan was working as a healthcare assistant at Royal Oldham Hospital. Karen Coverley, Director of Nursing at The Royal Oldham Hospital, said: “We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic news of the death of our colleague Susan. Susan was a long-standing and very popular member of our team at Oldham and will be sadly missed.”
“She was extremely well-liked by colleagues and patients alike, and always so caring and compassionate in what she did, nothing was too much trouble.”
“Our thoughts are with Susan’s family, friends, and close colleagues at this difficult time. We are offering support for our staff who worked with her.”
