Drug Operation In Stockport

During warrants in Stockport, firearms bladed articles and suspected class A drugs were found. Stockport Division of GMP executed an operation at two addresses on Thursday.

After the operation, a 23-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and ammunition and possession of class A and B drugs. The investigation continues. They are still in custody.

At the operation, a firearm, a quantity of suspected class A drugs that are believed to worth around £150,000, and a number of bladed articles found.

Inspector Ian Ashenden of GMP’s Stockport Division, said: “Today’s result is another brilliant team effort in identifying and tackling the distribution of drugs across Stockport and the wider Greater Manchester area.”
