- Children’s social care (MASSH): Contact your worker directly if you are already receiving services from Stockport Family. For urgent advice or to share information about a child or family, call the Multi-Agency Safeguarding and Support Hub (MASSH) on 0161 217 6028 during open hours. In case of urgent social care concerns when the service is closed, contact Out of Hours on 0161 718 2118. Call 999 if a child is in immediate danger.
- Emergency on the road or pavement: Report emergencies on roads or pavements by calling 0161 217 6111.
- Registrars: The service is closed on specific days, but pre-booked ceremonies will proceed. For urgent release burials, call 0161 474 5555 between 10am and 2pm on closed days. For urgent enquiries about marriage/civil partnership by Registrar General’s Licence, call 0161 474 5555.
- Coroners: Limited standby service available for urgent coronial releases between 10am and 2pm on specific days. No service on 25 December.
- One Stockport Family Hub and Start Well sites: Opening times vary, please refer to the specific locations mentioned.
- Health Visitor and School Nursing advice line: For general enquiries, call 0161 835 6789 between 9am and 5pm on weekdays. Closed on weekends and bank holidays.
- Stockport Homes: In a housing emergency, call 0161 217 6016.
- Healthcare services: Assess the appropriate NHS service for your needs. For emergencies or life-threatening situations, always go to A&E. Find more information on available services and common children’s illnesses on the NHS website.
