Operation Vulcan Officers Recover Cannabis and E-Bikes in Early Morning Derker Raid
Officers from Greater Manchester Police’s Operation Vulcan team carried out a warrant in Derker early this morning as part of their continued crackdown on crime and anti-social behaviour in the area.

During a search of the property, officers recovered approximately £1,000 worth of cannabis and located two off-road bikes and a Surron e-bike in the garage. All vehicles were seized as part of ongoing efforts to tackle illegal activity and nuisance behaviour linked to e-bikes and off-road bikes.
A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs. He remains in police custody for further questioning.
Operation Vulcan, launched in March, is a problem-solving, community-led initiative that aims to dismantle criminal networks, tackle drug activity, and reduce harm by addressing the root causes of offending. Since its inception, the team has made nearly 30 arrests, seized multiple vehicles and e-bikes, and disrupted active drug lines across the region.
Police continue to encourage residents to share information that could support ongoing investigations, emphasising that community intelligence is vital in their mission to make neighbourhoods safer.
