Following A Terrifying Robbery In Middleton, Police Appeal For Public’s Information

Police appeal information for a robbery on Langley Lane in Middleton. Initial enquires established that a man who was wielding a knife entered the business premises and threatened a staff member before stole an amount of money.

Police were called to Langley Lane at around 12.20 pm on 11 May 2021 with the report of the robbery at business premises. The offender stole an amount of money.No injuries have been reported but the staff member was left understandably shaken.

No arrests have been made, yet. Enquires are ongoing. Police appeal public’s information for the robbery. The offender is described as wearing a mask with a blue coat and hat at the time of the robbery.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Dixon, of GMP’s Rochdale district, said: “This was a terrifying incident for all involved, and has left the staff member feeling understandably frightened.”

“This incident happened in broad daylight and I am hopeful that there are a number of witnesses who were in the area at the time and may have seen something suspicious.”
