200 Litre Diesel Spill In Tameside: A Section Of M67 Has Been Closed

After a 200-litre diesel spill, a section of the M67 in Tameside has been closed. Two lanes remain shut at the scene.

The westbound carriageway was closed last night after a crash. Highways England said that there is a spillage on the road due to the incident. This morning(Thursday), a section of the M67 is currently still closed.

The roads are being inspected by Highways England. In a tweet, Highways England North West said: “The #M67 westbound #J4 (#HydeRoad #A57) to #J3 (#Hyde #A57) has been REOPENED following the earlier spillage however 2 lanes will remain closed until the carriageway can be inspected.”

“#J3 (#Hyde #A57) exit slip westbound will remain CLOSED. ”
