Summer soul star Toucan to play Rochdale Feel Good Festival

The rapidly rising Irishman otherwise known as Conor Clancy has been added to the line-up for the festival on Saturday, 10 August 2024.

Toucan and his band’s music has been described as a classic soulful style seamlessly paired with catchy hooks and pop melodies. With a growing fanbase he’s already played many of the UK’s biggest festivals as well as selling out shows across Ireland and England and supporting artists including Nile Rodgers and Chic. His debut single ‘We Fell For Miles’ has had 2.8 million streams on Spotify and his latest EP ‘Don’t Understand Why’ was released earlier in May 2024. When he brings his pop, funk and soul to Rochdale you’re advised to expect energy, good vibes and plenty of dancing.

Toucan will be joined by the previously announced indie rock crowd-pleasers Ocean Colour Scene, Lottery Winners, Heather Small, the voice of M People, DJ Dave Sweetmore and many more to be revealed, including a local battle of the bands winner.

Councillor Sue Smith, cabinet member for communities and co-operation said:

“Rochdale Feel Good Festival has long been one of our most popular events so it is fantastic to see it back this August. I know Toucan has been getting fabulous reviews for his live shows so we are in for a treat when he plays our main stage.”

For the first time, to cut single use plastic, all tickets include a Rochdale Feel Good Festival re-usable drink cup to be collected upon arrival at the festival site.

The festival is funded by the council together with sponsorship from local businesses, including:
