Rochdale Business Improvement District (BID) manager Paul Ambrose said:

“Street Eat is a great event which celebrates the best of Rochdale’s growing food and drink scene and we were delighted to bring it back to the beautiful new town hall square. The weather wasn’t kind to us this time but it was still busy throughout the day. The free entertainment added to the atmosphere and it was a real team effort. Big thanks go to our amazing town centre food and drink businesses as without them the day couldn’t happen and everyone who came along to support it.

“We are planning for the next one already which will hopefully be another festive edition in December, so watch this space. You don’t need to wait until Street Eat returns though, these fantastic restaurants and bars are open every week.”

The crowds were entertained with fun activities and rides for the children, including Punch & Judy shows. Di Lynham from Happy Radio UK hosted the sound stage introducing a line-up of music featuring acoustic guitarist Edward Jamil, popular duo Shenanigans, Rochdale Music Service Rock School, pop choir, The Youth Choir and more.

Traders included Bombay Brew, The Flying Horse Hotel, The Baum, Vicolo Del Vino, The Empire, Vinesteins, The Treehouse Bar, Our Gracie’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Bank Top Farm, Mason’s Creations, Pad Thai Street Food, Brew Box, Cake Loves Cakes, D’Ale House and Keep It Sweet.
