Salford GCSE students celebrated by council for their achievements
GCSE students in Salford have been congratulated by Salford City Council on results day for their hard work.
Councillor Jim Cammell, Lead Member for Children and Young People’s Services, said: “Congratulations to all Salford GCSE students, we are very proud of them all. They have been very dedicated and worked hard. Great support to young people has also been provided by Salford teachers, schools, parents and carers. We wish all the young people to have positive futures.”
Any young people who haven’t achieved the results they hoped for, can get advice on their next steps from their school’s careers adviser, or look at the different websites below for more help.
The council is committed to working in partnership with all our communities to ensure Salford is a great place, where children get the best start in life, and can learn and develop the skills they need to thrive.
Working towards Salford becoming a UNICEF Child-Friendly City is a priority in the council’s corporate plan, to ensure Salford is a great place for children and young people to grow up and feel safe, cared for, heard and have quality opportunities to play, learn and work. This will take the council on the next stage of its journey to champion the voices and rights of children and young people in the city.
