Police appeal to the public for help in tracing missing Stockport man

Police have released a new image of missing from home David (Dave) McGee, 64, who was last seen on Carnforth Road, Heaton Chapel, Stockport 12 days ago, on Thursday 10 November 2022 around 6am.

The CCTV image was taken of David on Wednesday 16 November 2022, at Ladbrokes in Manchester city centre, around 5.25pm.

In the image, David is still wearing the distinctive blue and brown coat he was last seen in and is carrying a black ruck sack, with a black umbrella under his arm. He is described as 5’ 8” tall, of medium build, with grey hair and glasses, and is also wearing dark jeans and walking boots.

Detective Inspector Gareth Beasley from Stockport District CID said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned about David and we need to get him back to his family as soon as possible.

“They are extremely worried about him and just need to know that he is safe and well. If you have seen David, or know where he is, please give us a call on 0161 856 9821 quoting reference number 2479 of 10.11.2022.

“You can also dial 101 or pass any information on anonymously via the independent charity – Crimestoppers – on 0800 555 111.”
