New home sought for memorial bench – can you help?
A bench dedicated to a local disability rights campaigner named Trish Levine has been found in Bury.
The Seedfield site was a former school and in recent years was home to various council services along with BADDAC (Bury And District Disabled Advisory Council).
It is currently being developed by Hive Homes to provide 84 new homes. During demolition of the old buildings by Lee Ashworth Excavation Ltd, the bench was found in the former school grounds and is now being safely stored by Seedfield Juniors Football club.
Bury Council, Hive Homes and the football club are now seeking to reunite the bench with either a relative or a friend of Trish.
