A racist graffiti on a defibrillator in Denton was seen yesterday. In the Civic Square, “For whites only’ and ‘No n******” were written.
Denton and Reddish MP Andrew Gwynne and his wife went to the area and started to clean off the graffiti. He also reported it to Tameside Council to check CCTV in the area and to find who did that.
In a post on Facebook, Mr. Gwynne wrote: “Whichever scumbag daubed horrific racist graffiti on the Civic Square defibrillator, just to let you know Allison and I went to scrub it off. When we got there, local resident, Victoria, was already cleaning it off. This machine is a lifesaver. It doesn’t discriminate and nor should we.
He also wrote that “PS we will be asking the Council to check the CCTV on Monday to see if the perpetrator of this sick hate crime can be identified. Take your hate somewhere else. And thank you Victoria! “
