Manchester City star midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is taking home yet another trophy in recognition of last season’s outstanding performance.
The club’s number 17 was named the Premier League Player of the Season at the Northwest Football Awards.
This is just one of many accolades for the City star lately.
He’s the first City player to win the award for PFA Player of the Year.
He also won UEFA Midfielder of the Year and Etihad Player of the Year last season.
This season he won the award for Player of the Month in October.
De Bruyne explains what this latest honour means to him.
“It’s always nice to win these individual awards and I’m looking forward to this season with City and we’re going to try to have a good season again,” says De Bruyne.
Since the Fernandinho injury, he’s taken over the captaincy for the Blues.
De Bruyne’s got a goal and 3 assists so far in the EPL this season despite missing two starts due to injury.
He beat out Liverpool’s John Henderson and Burnley keeper Nick Pope for the award.
