A Woman Died In A House Fire: Murder Investigation Has Launched
A woman sadly died after a fire at an address on Darras Road in Manchester this morning. The police have launched a murder investigation. A 33-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Officers called to a property on Darras Road before 2.30 am this morning with a report of a fire. Emergency services and fire service attended to the scene immediately. Unfortunately, a woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Police continue the murder investigation. A 33-year-old woman was arrested for suspicion of murder. Enquiries are ongoing and she is still in custody for questioning.
Detective Superintendent Amber Waywell, of GMP, said: “This is a devastating incident in which a woman has tragically lost her life.”
“Although we have arrested an individual, our investigation is still in its early stages and we are continuing to follow a number of lines of enquiry. If you have any information at all which could assist with our enquiries please do not hesitate to contact police as soon as possible.”
