A Robbery In Stockport: A Man Is In Critical Condition

In Romiley, a man was injured seriously after a robbery last night.

On  January 8, 2020, around 9 pm, the police officers got a report on a traffic collision at the junction of Lyme Grove and Hazel Avenue in Romiley. Police found a man in serious condition on the stage. It is believed that a vehicle that is taken from the man as a part of the robbery hit the man afterward.

The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The critical condition for the man still continues.

Detectives started an investigation on stolen a silver Mercedes and for the robbery. Detective Inspector Charlotte Whalley, of GMP’s Stockport district, said: “This was a shocking incident that has left a man currently fighting for his life in hospital and his family are understandably upset and our thoughts remain with them.”

The investigation continues. Anyone who has information on the robbery and the accident and may have seen a silver Mercedes in the area at that time can report it anonymously on 0800 555 111. The police officers are searching any CCTV or dash-cam footage for the investigation.
