Man Jailed After £100,000 Worth of Drugs Found in Manchester Vehicle

A man has been jailed for more than three years after police seized suspected Class A and Class B drugs worth an estimated £100,000 from a vehicle in Manchester.

Moatz Elkomsi, born on 8 June 2003 and of no fixed abode, was sentenced to three years and two months in prison at Manchester Crown Square Court on Friday 16 October 2026. He had pleaded guilty to possession of Class A and Class B drugs with intent to supply.
The investigation began on 1 December 2025, when officers identified an Audi parked on Heald Grove that they believed could be linked to criminal activity.

A forensic examination of the vehicle uncovered two rucksacks hidden beneath the boot floor. They contained a substantial quantity of suspected drugs. Officers also found personal documents and two mobile phones linking Elkomsi to the car.

Police subsequently searched an address associated with Elkomsi, recovering 39 bottles containing suspected codeine phosphate, a Class B drug, along with documents believed to relate to drug dealing.

Laboratory testing confirmed that the drugs recovered from the Audi included cocaine, MDMA, ketamine and cannabis. Their estimated street value exceeded £100,000, according to investigators.

One block of cocaine recovered during the investigation was estimated to weigh almost half a kilogram.

A separate search at an address in Rusholme led to the seizure of £4,000 in cash.

Elkomsi was sentenced following his guilty plea, bringing the case to court after the investigation into the drugs recovered from the vehicle and associated addresses.
