Innovation in the fast lane: Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ event success

Innovation in advanced materials and manufacturing took centre stage as Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ joined Manchester Met to showcase how the two organisations are working together to provide a platform for industry and academia.
The event was hosted yesterday (Thursday 26 September) by the Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMMIC), which brings together business support services at Manchester Met including additive manufacturing at one the UK’s biggest technology hubs PrintCity, plus expertise in surface engineering, green energy, metamaterials, nanotechnology and digitalisation.
The launch event welcomed senior figures from Aston Martin Aramco Formula One, Siemens, MINI, and The Rakem Group, who joined University academics and stakeholders for panel discussions exploring the future of innovation, skills, and sustainability.
As part of the event, an Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ team replica car took centre stage inside the University’s Dalton building.
