High achievers across Oldham are celebrating A-Level and T-Level success.

Oldham’s ‘A team’ has seen the number of A* and A grades, A* to C and A* to E grades improving across the board, with students now working towards a range of careers including medicine, genetics, dentistry, chemical engineering, sonography, interior design and the civil service after opening their results.

At North Chadderton Sixth Form there was double the delight for identical twins Danielle and Francesca Hulme. The twins both achieved two distinctions and a C grade, and they’re both off to Leeds University, Danielle to study sports therapy and Francesca to study event management.

Birthday boy Connor Beswick celebrated turning 18 by opening his results, with two distinctions in business and law and a D in English Language.

It was an emotional morning at Oldham Sixth Form as students celebrated their best results in recent years, and the learners opening their T Level results at Oldham College included Jadon, who achieved a merit in his Technical Qualification in Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning.

Over at Crompton House, 92 per cent of students secured their choice of university and high achievers included Alexia who moved to England just four years ago. She earned a B in English literature, B in English Language, an A in her EPQ Extended Project Qualification and a B in business, and at Blue Coat Sixth Form 10 future doctors will now go on to study medicine.
