Over 100 Bikes Seized in 100-Day Operation Targeting Anti-Social Behaviour on Motorbikes
A coordinated operation aimed at reducing anti-social behaviour involving motorbikes, e-bikes, and quadbikes has led to the seizure of 104 vehicles in just 100 days across Greater Manchester. Alongside the seizures, 33 arrests have been made, targeting offenders in hotspot areas including Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, and Wigan.
Bikes have been seized for various reasons, including lack of insurance, anti-social driving, and suspicion of theft. The misuse of these vehicles disrupts communities, endangers public safety, and has contributed to serious and fatal road traffic collisions, impacting riders, their families, and the wider community.
Additionally, these vehicles are often used by criminals to facilitate further offenses, such as drug supply, robbery, burglary, and theft, exacerbating the negative impact on the region.
This operation reflects ongoing efforts to address the detrimental effects of anti-social vehicle use and to enhance safety and quality of life across Greater Manchester
