Greater Manchester Police are appealing for witnesses following a suspected arson attack at an address on Halifax Road in Rochdale. The incident occurred at around 8:30 pm on Wednesday, 4 September, prompting emergency services to respond to reports of a fire.
Five individuals, including three children, were treated for injuries at the scene. Fortunately, none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.
Initial investigations indicate that the fire may have been started deliberately. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. Police are urging anyone who was in the Halifax Road area at the time or who may have information that could aid the investigation to come forward.
