Figures of Public Health England showed that the infection rate for England is 329.5 per 100,000 people now. Following the England-wide trend, the infection rates of all boroughs of Greater Manchester continue to fall.
According to Public Health England, here are the latest infection rates and comparison between the previous week for every borough of Greater Manchester :
Salford
Salford still has the highest infection rates in the region with a 325.3 infection rate. But, there is a 10 % decrease comparing the previous week.
Manchester
The infection rates in Manchester are almost high as in Salford. With 323.8 infection rates, Manchester has the second-highest figures of coronavirus in Greater Manchester. There is a 22% decrease in infection rates.
Tameside
With 298.5 infection rates, Tameside is the third borough that has one of the highest numbers. According to the latest data, a 14% decrease has been reported in Tameside.
Bolton
With a 19 % decrease comparing the previous week, the infection rate of Bolton is now 298.0.
Wigan
The infection rate in Wigan is 295.7 with a 20 % decrease comparing the last week.
Bury
Bury is the sixth borough in terms of infection rates. Bury has a 23 % decrease and a 280.1 infection rate.
Rochdale
With a 17 percent decrease, Rochdale has now a 277.9 infection rate.
Stockport
Stockport has one of the lowest figures in the region. Stockport has a 23% decrease in coronavirus infection rates and now has a 277.1 infection rate.
Trafford
With a 22% decrease, Trafford has one of the lowest figures of Greater Manchester. The infection rate of Trafford is 272.2.
Oldham
Oldham has the lowest figures of Greater Manchester. There is a 10 percent decrease in the figures and now Oldham has a 254.3 infection rate.
