According to the latest figures, another 12 people died in Greater Manchester’s hospitals last week due to COVID-19.NHS England figures showed that the coronavirus-related hospital death toll for Greater Manchester is now 5688.
In just the last 24 hours, four deaths were reported in the region. Here is the updated list for the total number of coronavirus related deaths in Greater Manchester ( 9 March 2021 ) :

- Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust – 8
- Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust – 492
- Stockport NHS Foundation Trust – 536 (+2)
- Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust – 563 (+4)
- The Christie NHS Foundation Trust – 28
- Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust – 748 (+3)
- NHS Nightingale Hospital North West – 6
- Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust – 1,547 (+2)
In England, a further 164 people died after testing positive for COVID-19. The current total number of deaths for coronavirus is 84631 according to NHS England data on Tuesday.
