Andrew Cairns has been charged for causing the death of 11-year old Ruby Cropper by dangerous driving. He will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on 24 June.
Police were called with a report of a collision involving a blue Suzuki Alto and a pedestrian on New Road in Bury on 10 August 2020. The 11-year-old pedestrian-Ruby Cropper- sadly died despite all efforts of medical staff.
Ruby’s mother and stepfather attended the hearing at the court. Ruby’s family said: “We are all absolutely devastated and, a part of us has died today too. Our lives will never be the same again.”
