This project is one part of a multi-million pound investment in Leigh town centre.
Councillor David Molyneux MBE, Leader of Wigan Council, said: “This is a great opportunity for Leigh Civic Square and we want to hear your views; from materials, planting, lighting and the type of activities you would like to see on the new square.
“This is just one part of the wider Leigh Regeneration Project.
“Following a successful bid for over £11m in government funding, this is set to deliver on three key priorities; the refurbishment of Leigh Market, a shopfront and building grant scheme, and improvements to Civic Square and the Market Street corridor.”
Everyone can have their say on the ideas so far by visiting the Leigh Regeneration project webpage or by coming along to a drop-in session at Leigh Library on Thursday 19 September or Tuesday 1 October.
The survey closes on Sunday 6 October.
Consultation on other elements, including the Market Street corridor and the refurbishment of Leigh Market will follow in the coming months.
