To date, 122 arrests have been made, leading to 102 charges and 60 convictions. This progress is the result of close collaboration with the Crown Prosecution Service and local criminal justice partners, ensuring swift action against those responsible for the disturbances.
Incidents during the unrest included the assault of a bus driver in Newton Heath, as well as police officers being targeted with a plank of wood in Piccadilly Gardens and having bricks and bottles thrown at them in Newton Heath.
A dedicated team of officers has been working tirelessly to identify suspects, reviewing thousands of hours of CCTV, body-worn video, and social media footage to build a complete picture of the events and those involved. Public assistance has been crucial, with over 100 reports received that have aided in the identification of suspects.
Greater Manchester Police are appealing for information to help identify the remaining 18 individuals they wish to speak to in connection with the disorder. The continued support of the public is essential to bring all those responsible to justice.
