Trafford Council’s collaboration with Amey has proven to be a success in various aspects, including making a positive difference in our communities. Recent data from the One Trafford Partnership over the past year has highlighted achievements such as enhancing over 283,210 square metres of roads, transitioning to electric vehicles, promoting decarbonisation, and earning green flags for our parks.
In addition to the partnership’s infrastructure accomplishments, there is also a focus on fulfilling social impact and community engagement commitments. Notable successes include Amey staff in Trafford contributing over 1,000 volunteer hours through the Social Impact Day initiative, becoming a Disability Confident Leader, engaging with schools on various projects, raising funds for Cancer Research UK, and providing essential toiletries to those in need through donations to Trafford Domestic Abuse Service.
Cllr Stephen Adshead, Executive Member for Highways, Environmental and Traded Services at Trafford Council, expressed his satisfaction with the partnership’s positive impact on highways, the environment, parks, and communities.
