Police found the body of a 48-year-old man at an address on Cook Street in Salford. Following the incident, a murder investigation has been launched.
Police called the address at 7.26 am yesterday with a report of a concern for the welfare of the man. Emergency services attended to the scene and found the body of the man.
Enquiries are ongoing. A murder investigation has been launched by GMP’s Major Incident Team.
Detective Chief Inspector Ben Cottam, from GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “Detectives have now launched an investigation and are following a number of lines of inquiry to try and piece together what has happened and to find and bring to justice whoever is responsible.”
“There will be an increase in officers in the local area, while the initial stages of the investigation progress. I would urge anyone with information, to contact the police.”
