Can You Help Police Identify This Man For Alleged Assault In Bury?

GMP detectives have released an image of a man for an alleged assault in Bury. Last year, The victim of the assault suffered serious head injuries.

Police got a report of assault last year on Friday 4,2020. According to the report, a man who is in his 30s suffered serious injuries was assaulted on Mersey Drive in the Whitefield area. Also, a Gucci bag carrying £200 in cash was stolen at the assault.

The victim was taken to the hospital for head injuries. After he remained at the hospital for several days, he continued his recovery from his home.

A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged for the robbery and possession of an offensive weapon, arson, handling stolen goods, and theft of a motor vehicle. He is still in custody.

Enquires established there is another man that may hold important information for the assault. Today, detectives have released the image of the man to identify him.

Detective Constable Rob Thornley, of GMP Bury’s CID, said: “We have been exhausting all available avenues of enquiry since this incident was reported to us last year.”

“If anyone believes they may know the identity of the man whose image we have released today as part of our investigation then I urge you to contact us so we can establish the full circumstances of how the victim came to sustain such serious injuries on that day.”
