Journey to Camelot
Local theatre group Awkward Tree has been collaborating with Bolton Library and Museum services to create an accessible theatre experience for young people aged 14-18 in Bolton, thanks to funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Director Ruth Welch expressed her passion for providing affordable arts experiences, making theatre accessible to all. The group has been working hard on their new production, “Camelot Bound,” with help from the Creature Character Creation Team and illustrator Jack Sedlan.
The show follows the adventures of friends Sam and Charlie as they are transported into the world of knights, dragons, and legendary tales, discovering the secrets of the Round Table and fighting to bring peace back to Camelot.
Performances will take place on Saturday 2nd March at 2pm & 7pm and Sunday 3rd March at 2pm. Cllr Nadeem Ayub, Bolton Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, is excited about the new cultural opportunities for young people in Bolton, encouraging everyone to get their free tickets and enjoy the show.
