This year’s Trafford Apprenticeships and Careers Event – the first to be held since Covid – proved to be a huge success.
More than 350 young people and parents attended the event which was organised by Trafford Council’s Inclusive Economy and Communities Team, Trafford Connexions, and hosted by Trafford College.
They were given help and advice on their future careers by more than 30 training providers, colleges, universities and employers who were gathered at Trafford College’s Altrincham campus.
Young people who attended the fair gave it an amazing rating of 4.31 out of 5 when asked to evaluate the event.
Louise O’Toole, Assistant Business Development Manager at STEGTA, said: “STEGTA have been attending the Trafford Apprenticeships and Careers Event for a number of years. We find it to be a great opportunity to engage with local candidates (and also potentially their parents) to discuss opportunities within the engineering sector.”
Cllr Liz Patel, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration, said: “The Trafford Apprenticeships and Careers Fair was a big success and I was proud to have attended. Hundreds of young people and their parents came along to the event and were given important help and advice from the many training providers, colleges, universities and employers who attended. Thank you to everyone who made this event such a success – the feedback was incredible.”
