A study called ‘Future Stretford’ is currently underway to ensure that the town remains a vibrant, sustainable place that meets the needs of its residents and businesses. Conducted by Arup on behalf of Trafford Council, the study will not only focus on the town centre but also extend to the surrounding residential areas such as Gorse Hill, Longford, Lostock, Humphrey Park, Stretford Meadows, and Turn Moss. In order to gather input on the current situation and gather ideas for the future development of Stretford and its neighboring communities, a public consultation has been launched. Residents and businesses are encouraged to participate in the consultation, which will conclude on Wednesday 31 January 2024. Cllr Liz Patel, the Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration at Trafford Council, emphasized the importance of the study and urged as many people as possible to share their views.
