Three more COVID deaths confirmed in Greater Manchester Hospitals

COVID death toll well over 3,000

Three more people have died after testing positive for COVID.

The deaths took place in hospitals around Greater Manchester.

The NHS provides daily updates on deaths related to the coronavirus at hospital trusts across England.

These are cases where a patient has tested positive for the virus within 28 days of their death or where COVID-19 is written on their death certificate.

That doesn’t include any deaths that might occur in a community setting or a care facility.

The current death toll from COVID across Greater Manchester’s hospitals is currently 3,769.

One of the three deaths was reported to be at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and the other two at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.

Here’s a breakdown of all the deaths across Greater Manchester hospitals as of December 6 from the Manchester Evening News:

There were six other deaths as the result of COVID reported in the wider North West region on Sunday as well.

The total overall death rate for the region is at 8,419. (JSL)
