The body of a man was found after a house fire
The road between Horshaw Street and Milford Street has been taped off by police.
Forensic officers arrived upon the scene after a fatal house fire in Salford.
The body of a man, most probably in his 80s, was found by officers at the house this morning.
Police have taped off the road between Horshaw Street and Milford Street. TfGM has shared this information at 7 am on Twitter.
The tweet said: “Liverpool Street, Salford.
“Road is closed in both directions between Horshaw Street and Milford Street due to an ongoing incident. Follow @ arrivanorthwest and @ gnwbus for bus diversion # TfGMTraffic .”
A spokeswoman from Greater Manchester Police said: “Police were called by the fire service to a report of a fire at a property on Liverpool Street, Salford at around 6.20am this morning (Tuesday 10 November 2020).
“Emergency services attended and sadly found the body of a man believed to be in his 80s.
“A scene remains in place at the property.
“Enquiries into the cause of the fire remain ongoing.”
