City’s plan for the return of fans

 Next week Manchester City hopes to get some good news when it comes to their home matches.

The UK government will announce the tiering lockdown measures at that time.

Currently, the region is in Tier-3 but is making a case to move to Tier-2.

What’s the Plan?

 If the region gets Tier-2 status, up to 2,000 fans can attend home games.

Most tickets will be available to 2019-20 Seasoncard holders with a small number for Cityzens Matchday members.

A ballot for existing Seasonal Hospitality Members will be in operation.

When can fans return?

 The earliest return for fans would be on December 26 when they host Newcastle United.

Ballot Process

 This Monday at 9 am you can enter the City vs Newcastle ballot.

You can submit your entry by logging into your online account.

Tickets are £35 for adults, £20 for anyone between 18 and 21, £15 for anyone over 65, and £5 for under 18s.

There’s no guarantee a ballot will be drawn.

Greater Manchester needs to get Tier-2 status for ballots to be available for the Newcastle match.

Supporters aren’t restricted from entering the ballot but cross-tier travel restrictions will still apply.

Where multiple qualifying supporters live in the same household or within a support bubble, you can enter the ballot for up to a maximum of two (2) supporters.

Disabled supporters with a personal assistant should enter as a group of two while allocating the personal assistant supporter number to the ballot entry.

Supporters are randomly drawn once a ballot closes.

Those in a successful ballot are put in a ‘priority pot’.

Successful applicants are e-mailed that they’ve got a 24-hour priority sales window to purchase a ticket.

Unsuccessful supporters will be put in a balloted ‘reserve pot’ and notified in advance, by email, of their ‘reserve pot’ and sales window.

Safety Precautions

Anyone lucky enough to attend a match needs to remember the following safety measures:

• Fans who enter Etihad must agree and adhere to the COVID-19 Supporter Code of Conduct and its terms and conditions.
• All supporters attending matches must complete a health questionnaire.
• To comply with the NHS Track and Trace program you’ll need to scan QR codes via the NHS COVID-19 app.
• There will be no paper tickets. That means fans will enter the stadium via their mobile device (Google Pay or Apple Wallet). Print@Home tickets are available to choose from if need be.
• Any fans attending who are 16 and older need to have a photo ID with them to verify they’re the named ticket holder. That includes personal assistants.
